Oct. 14 — Someone damaged a picnic table on the south side of a building on Seventh Street Northeast.
Oct. 15 — A resident on 11th Street Southeast reported a scam in which the resident received a cashier’s check for $900 from Regions Bank in a large FedEx envelope. The resident brought the check to the bank and was advised it was a fraudulent check and a scam.
Oct. 15 — A resident on Second Avenue Northeast reported a theft in which their home looked ransacked and a bottle of prescription sleep medication was missing.
Oct. 16 — A resident on Fifth Street Northeast reported a scam in which a message on Facebook said they had won $950,000 and was sent a request to process the winnings.
Oct. 17 — A business on Broadway West reported a theft.
Oct. 18 — Someone stole items from a vehicle parked at the owner’s residence on Fourth Street Northeast, by gaining access through cardboard the owner used in place of a window. Stolen was a JVC CD player valued at $75, two 12-inch Bazooka sub woofers and one 12-inch Rockford Punch sub woofer, valued at $150, and a Legend 2,000 watt amp valued at $200.
