Thomas John Lashinski, Jr., 31, Little Falls, and Katie Lynn Wolf, 29, of Royalton, were charged Aug. 21 with one felony count each of third-degree possession of methamphetamine and heroin.

According to the criminal complaint, on Aug. 20, Little Falls police officers were informed that people were staying at a residence without permission. Family members of the victim, who was hospitalized, were concerned that Lashinski had manipulated the victim into letting him stay there rent-free

The manager of the residence also called to report that Lashinski was staying at the apartment and was not allowed to be there because he was not on the lease. The manager allegedly told Lashinski to leave and Lashinski allegedly refused.

Officers arrived at the residence and told Lashinski to leave, along with a female suspect, identified as Wolf, who was also told to leave.

Officers observed the Lashinski was sweating profusely and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

The manager stated that Lashinski had left a small pouch at the residence. Officers found that inside the pouch was a substance that appeared to be, and later field-tested positive for, methamphetamine.

Lashinski and Wolf were placed under arrest for possession, after which a warrant was obtained to search the apartment.

The search found multiple items of drug paraphernalia as well as substances which later tested positive for methamphetamine and heroin. Also found were ID cards belonging to Lashinski and Wolf, and it allegedly appeared that the two had been living in the apartment.

The total weight of heroin found was .1 grams and the methamphetamine weighed a total of 5.26 grams.

If convicted, Lashinski and Wolf each face up to 20 years in prison and/or $250,000 in fines.
