Lianna Joelle Wolpert, 28, Motley, was convicted Sept. 14 of a fifth degree felony drug possession charge.

On Nov. 19, 2013, Wolpert was at the Morrison County Government Center’s courtroom area to file an order for protection against her boyfriend.

While going through courtroom security, she emptied her purse and items from that purse included a small baggie containing a green-leafy substance, a one-hitter pipe with possible marijuana residue and a paper towel wrapped around a glass pipe with some burned residue.

Wolpert said  her boyfriend must have put them in her purse. She indicated she was having problems with him the night before.

The glass pipe field-tested positive for methamphetamine and the suspected marijuana field-tested positive for marijuana.

Wolpert was sentenced to 31 days in jail, for which she received credit for 31 days served, ordered to pay $285 in fines and will have five years of supervised probation.
