May 12 —Someone stole a rim off a camper parked at the owner’s property on Berkey Avenue in Swanville. The tire and rim were valued at $150.
May 12 — A resident on 18th Avenue in Motley reported a scam in which the resident received a $1,200 check for no reason, with no account number on the check.
May 13 — A resident on 110th Avenue in Little Falls reported a scam in which someone replied to an ad the resident placed on Craigslist. The resident was contacted by someone who said they would send a check and asked the resident to cash it and send the remainder back to the caller. The resident received a $2,990 check from a place in Florida, but did not cash it.
May 13 — A resident on Dove Road in Little Falls reported a possible break-in.
May 15 — Someone damaged a vehicle while it was parked in a lot on Park Avenue Southeast in Pierz.
May 15 — Someone stole a Toro Personal Pace push lawn mower, valued at $600, from a residence on Hoffman Beach Drive in Hillman.
May 16 — A resident on Grouse Road in Little Falls reported a scam in which they received a call from the Internal Revenue Service saying someone tried to file a tax return in the resident’s name.
May 16 — A resident on 90th Avenue in Bowlus received a letter with a fake check for $8,550. The resident also said they had been getting a lot of telephone calls from people asking for money for shipping and handling costs.
May 16 — A resident on 320th Street in Cushing reported someone had stolen money from their checking account through credit card transactions.
May 17 — Residents on 103rd Street, 193rd Street, 235th and 195th Streets in Pierz, as well as numerous residents on Partridge Road in Hillman, reported someone had damaged their mailboxes.
May 18 — Someone damaged a new Hybrid Ice Castle Fish house that was stored in a storage unit on Nature Road in Buckman.
May 18 — A resident on 150th Avenue in Little Falls reported a case of fraud.
May 18 — A resident on 63rd Street in Royalton reported a scam in which someone called the resident saying they were from the U.S. Legal Services and wanted money.
May 18 — A resident on 250th Avenue in Pierz reported someone had dumped manure on their deck and stole DVD movies.
May 19 — Someone stole $700 in cash from a residence on 240th Street in Randall.
May 19 — A business on 243rd Street in Pierz reported receiving a countefeit $50 bill.
May 21 — Someone hit and knocked over a road sign at the intersection of 143rd Street and Partridge Road.
May 22 — Two mailboxes on 120th Avenue in Little Falls, one on 10th Avenue in Swanville, and another on 140th Street in Little Falls, were damaged.
May 22 — A resident on 95th Avenue in Little Falls reported property damage.
May 23 — A business on Main Street in Bowlus reported a gas drive off.
May 24 — Someone stole a purse containing the owner’s driver’s license, Social Security card, debit card and $36 in cash, from the owner’s vehicle while they were at work at a business on Highway 10 South, Motley.
May 24 — Someone shot the windows on a building on 193rd Street in Pierz.
May 24 — A resident on Autumn Road in Long Prairie reported a scam in which someone called saying they were from Microsoft Tech Services and wanted the resident to fill out a form online and read them a number.
May 24 — A resident on 90th Avenue in Bowlus reported damage done to their property.
May 25 — A resident on 92nd Avenue in Little Falls reported receiving a message on their phone from someone claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service and claiming the resident had to go to court and gave the resident a number to call.
