Paul Michael Ross, 55, Randall, was charged July 24 with two felony counts of terroristic threats, with reckless disregard for risk.

According to the criminal complaint, law enforcement received a report that Ross had called a local business, July 13, and left a message filled with vulgarity toward the business and the family who owns it.

July 22, Ross was reported to be driving near the neighborhood where the business owners reside.

Law enforcement met with one of the victims the following day, July 23. The victim was very upset and frightened and alleged that Ross had made statements about her family going missing. A neighbor had allegedly seen Ross driving around the neighborhood, the victim said, and when asked by the neighbor why Ross was there, he allegedly said that the victims were “going to go missing.” The victims were allegedly so upset they left their residence to stay with family members.

An officer located Ross driving his truck in Randall and approached him about the victims’ concerns about his behavior. He was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital for an evaluation because of his recent strange comments and conduct. After he was cleared from the hospital, Ross was placed under arrest for the threats. While being taken into custody, Ross allegedly told the officer that he was going to “wipe out his family.”

If convicted, Ross faces up to five years imprisonment and/or $10,000 in fines for each offense.
