Sheila Dawn Meyer, 26, Royalton was convicted Wednesday of one felony receiving stolen property charge and one felony drug possession charge. A felony theft charge and another felony drug possession charge were dismissed

The charges stem from a June 23 tip to law enforcement that a stolen truck was parked at a Royalton apartment building, where Meyer lives.

When an officer checked the truck’s VIN, it came back as stolen. The officer also allegedly found a fake driver’s license and three checks the complaint said were also fake.

After having the truck towed to an impound lot, the officer made contact with Meyer, who admitted to being with another person when he stole the truck. She also said she was with him when he  stole a trailer from a Motley business, which was later located in Stearns County.

Meyer admitted to having other illegal items in her apartment.

While searching the apartment, investigators found a mirror with methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a small plastic baggie containing more crystal meth.

Investigators also allegedly found counterfeit bills in the apartment as well as in Meyer’s wallet when she was taken to the Morrison County Jail.

Meyer also had a couple of Adderall pills, a Schedule II controlled substance that she didn’t have a prescription for.

Meyer was also convicted of a gross misdemeanor for possessing counterfeit currency.

Meyer originally pleaded not guilty to all charges, before pleading guilty to the receiving  stolen property and counterfeiting charges, as well as one of the drug possession charges.

Meyer was sentenced to 78 days in jail and was given credit for 78 days served. For both felonies she was sentenced to five years probation and another two years probation for the counterfeiting conviction. The sentences will be served concurrently. Meyer was also fined $235.

On Oct. 23, Strack was allegedly intoxicated at a party and causing fights. When law enforcement responded, Strack had just left the party.

According to the criminal complaint, Strack was later traveling west on Lake Camille Drive while two squad cars were traveling east, the first one activating its lights.

Ricardo Medina, 36, Plymouth and Sharonda Mae Little, 23, Little Falls, are facing three felony first degree aggravated robbery charges each for conspiring to commit first degree aggravated robbery, first degree aggravated robbery and being an accomplice to first degree robbery.
