Melissa Ann Hilmerson, 35, Little Falls, has been charged with felony fifth degree drug possession in Morrison County District Court.
The charge stems from a May 27 incident, when the Little Falls Police Department responded to a call about a woman walking unsteadily along Hilton Road near the Little Falls Country Club.
Police identified the woman as Hilmerson, who said she was on her way to a business to clean, the criminal complaint said.
Hilmerson allegedly appeared to be impaired by a chemical other than alcohol, and had a warrant out for her arrest from Stearns County.
While dispatch attempted to confirm the warrant, the officer asked Hilmerson if she had any weapons on her.
Hilmerson opened her purse, and a full hypodermic needle and a baggie containing what appeared to be heroin were allegedly in plain sight.
Hilmerson allegedly confirmed the rocks were heroin. The substance weighed .51 grams and field-tested positive for heroin.
If convicted, Hilmerson faces up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
