Jerry Len Walden, 32, Little Falls, is facing a felony theft charge in Morrison County District Court.
The charge stems from a Feb. 4 partnership between Walden and another man on a tree trimming job.
After the two were done for the day, the partner allegedly kept his chainsaw and climbing equipment in Walden’s truck before they continued the next day.
The following day, Walden allegedly didn’t pick up the partner and didn’t return the equipment.
The Little Falls Police Department had allegedly been in contact with Walden to try and get the items returned to the victim numerous times, and set a deadline of Feb. 25, for Walden to return the equipment.
Walden did not meet that deadline, the criminal complaint said.
The total value of the property in question is over $1,000.
If convicted, Walden faces up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
