Nathan William Chesseman, 29, Little Falls, is facing a felony theft charge in Morrison County District Court, after allegedly stealing paychecks from a Little Falls business.
The charge stems from a Dec. 16, 2016 incident, when Cheeseman and another man who hasn’t been charged, went to a business in Little Falls.
While the other man made a purchase and allegedly distracted the employee, Cheeseman allegedly grabbed envelopes containing 34 payroll checks.
The two were allegedly identified using store surveillance video from other cases involving check forgery.
The total value of the 11 checks that had to be reprinted was listed at $2,832.03.
If convicted, Cheeseman faces up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
