Tschida convicted for receiving stolen property

Bryce Mark Tschida, 25, Little Falls, was convicted in Morrison County District Court Feb. 23, for receiving stolen property.

On Sept. 17, 2016, Tschida and another stole an ATV and other items from a home in Mille Lacs County.

A sheriff’s deputy from Mille Lacs County had been in contact with a Morrison County business where Tschida and another person, who hasn’t been convicted, tried to have a new key for the ATV made.

The deputy asked the Little Falls Police Department to apprehend the suspects.

An officer from the Little Falls Police Department went to Tschida’s residence, where Tschida said they stole the ATV and tried to have a new key made for it. He also told the officer it was at the other suspect’s home.

Tschida pleaded guilty to the receiving stolen property charge and was sentenced to 32 days in jail and was given credit for 32 days served.

He was also sentenced to five years of supervised probation and fined $135, not including restitution to the victim.
