Walter Russell Johnson, 52, Little Falls, was charged in Morrison County District Court Monday, with one felony count of receiving stolen property.
On Oct. 7, the Little Falls Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle.
The victim allegedly identified Johnson as a possible suspect due to a previous relationship between the two.
According to the criminal complaint, Johnson originally told the victim he didn’t know where the vehicle was, but later showed her the vehicle was parked at an apartment building in Little Falls.
The vehicle was allegedly located where Johnson said it was and the victim had never said he could take it.
Court documents say when police arrested Johnson, he said someone else had taken the vehicle.
The keys to the vehicle were allegedly in Johnson’s possession.
If convicted, Johnson faces up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
