Sept. 15 — A resident on 140th Street in Little Falls reported a scam in which someone called claiming to be from the State Department and said the resident had charges against him and had to call a phone number.
Sept. 16 — A resident on DeGraff Avenue in Swanville reported a theft.
Sept. 16 — A resident on Betty Lane reported someone had driven on their lawn making huge ruts.
Sept. 17 — A resident on Dove Road in Randall reported the theft of several hunting items. The items included three portable deer stands, two game cameras, two 4-foot sections of ladder sticks and about eight ratchet straps.
Sept. 18 — A resident on 330th Street in Motley reported someone broke into a camper on his hunting land and stole three sunflower heaters, one space heater, one electric heater, a microwave, a gun stand and dishes.
Sept. 19 — A resident on 120th Avenue in Bowlus reported a scam in which they received a letter by airmail with a check for $3,750 from a company out of Dallas, Texas. The letter said the resident had won a prize in a foreign sweepstakes and said the resident was to cash the check and send $3,400 for a processing fee to collect the $250,000 that they had won.
Sept. 20 — A resident on Agram Boulevard reported a scam in which a person called to say the resident had won a large amount of money. The caller said the resident only had to pay a $95 charge to get the money.
