Hannah Rae Kloss, 32, Pierz, was convicted June 30 of one felony count of second degree burglary.
On July 21, 2014, a woman told officers that when she arrived at her parents’ home, there was a Chevrolet Uplander parked in their driveway. She saw a woman and two children come out of her parents’ residence, through the garage, and get into the vehicle.
The woman with the children said she was looking for help for a person who had been injured.
The owner of the home later told officers several drawers in the home had been rifled through and left partially open.
The officer made contact with Kloss, the owner of the vehicle, and told her she was a suspect in a burglary. She denied participating and told the officer she had driven into the driveway when she had seen a child playing on the side of the road.
Kloss pleaded guilty as part of a plea bargain and was sentenced to 10 years probation, 14 days in jail, she was given credit for three days, and $385 in fines.
