Sheila Dawn Meyer, 26, Royalton is facing felonies ranging from two fifth-degree drug possession charges to theft and receiving stolen property.
The charges stem from a June 23 tip to law enforcement that a stolen truck was parked at a Royalton apartment building, where Meyer lives.
According to the criminal complaint, when an officer checked the truck’s VIN, it came back as stolen. The officer also allegedly found a fake driver’s license and three checks the complaint said were also fake.
After having the truck towed to an impound lot, the officer made contact with Meyer, who allegedly admitted to being with another person when he stole the truck. She also allegedly said she was with when he  stole a trailer from a Motley business, which was later located in Stearns County.
According to the criminal complaint, Meyer admitted to having other illegal items in her apartment.
While searching the apartment, investigators allegedly found a mirror with methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a small plastic baggie containing more crystal meth.
Investigators also allegedly found counterfeit bills in the apartment as well as in Meyer’s wallet when she was taken to the Morrison County Jail. According to the criminal complaint, Meyer also had a couple of prescription pills that appeared to be Adderall, a Schedule II controlled substance that she didn’t have a prescription for.
If convicted, Meyer could face up to 25 years in prison and/or $50,000 in fines.
