Gerrey Wayne Stevenson, 40, Little Falls is facing two felony charges in Morrison County District Court for possession of fifth degree controlled substances.
According to the criminal complaint, May 21, two members of law enforcement responded to suspicious activity behind a business in Little Falls. Employees allegedly said there were two cars parked behind trailers in the back, but that no one was supposed to be there.
According to the criminal complaint, officers stopped one vehicle driven by a female as it was leaving the parking lot.
According to the criminal complaint, one officer stayed to deal with the first traffic stop while another pursued Stevenson. When the officer pulled Stevenson over the officer asked him what he was doing with the female in the parking lot. According to the criminal complaint, Stevenson’s story did not match the woman’s.
Stevenson allegedly let the officer search his truck. Underneath the driver’s seat, officers allegedly found a fanny pack containing 2.3 grams of methamphetamine and .6 grams of heroin.
According to the criminal complaint, at the Morrison
County Jail, Stevenson allegedly told officers he bought the drugs as he had become addicted to pain medication and when he recently ran out he turned to heroin.
According to the criminal complaint, Stevenson has a controlled substance conviction from 2011.
If convicted, Stevenson faces up to 10 years in prison and/or up to $20,000 in fines.
