Bradley Darwin Posterick, 26, Little Falls, was charged Jan. 4 with one felony count of theft of a trailer, valued at more than $1,000.
According to the criminal complaint, on Dec. 31, 2015, law enforcement in Little Falls received a report of a theft of a trailer.
The complaint alleged that sometime overnight the trailer was stolen. Trail cameras nearby allegedly captured images of the suspect vehicle entering the property and leaving with the trailer attached.
The property owner alleged that the suspect vehicle was a white pick-up truck with a U-Haul logo and no license plate.
Law enforcement later received information that a vehicle matching that description had been brought to another property, identified as Posterick’s residence.
An officer contacted Posterick and asked where the trailer was.
Posterick allegedly acknowledged that he knew what the officer was talking about and said the trailer was brought to St. Cloud.
In a taped statement, Posterick allegedly admitted he entered the victim’s property, attached the trailer to his vehicle and taken it, later taking it to St. Cloud.
Posterick alleged that someone had asked him to steal the trailer.
The stolen trailer was later located in St. Cloud.
If convicted, Posterick faces up to five years imprisonment and/or $10,000 in fines.
