Lynn Marie Kretsch, 50, Little Falls, was convicted Dec. 2 in Morrison County District Court of one felony count of fifth-degree possession of methamphetamine and one misdemeanor count of fourth-degree DWI.
According to the criminal complaint, on Oct. 29, at approximately 10:38 a.m., law enforcement was contacted about a strange person driving on others’ property.
The suspect reportedly seemed very confused, drove into someone’s yard and struck a vehicle.
Officers arrived at scene and met with the suspect, identified as Kretsch.
Officers observed Krestch seemed confused and delusional, telling law enforcement that she thought she was at the zoo. Krestch was continually putting her hands in her pockets, so officers asked her to empty her pockets for safety.
Kretsch removed a glass pipe, of the sort commonly used to smoke methamphetamine, from her pocket.
Kretsch denied using illegal drugs, and a breath test came back negative for alcohol intoxication.
When asked the time and day, Kretsch replied that it was Tuesday at 6 p.m., when it was in fact Wednesday at approximately 11 a.m.
The pipe found on Kretsch later field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Kretsch was given a stay of adjudication and sentenced to 45 days in jail, with credit for 3 days already served, 10 years supervised probation and $100 in fines.
