Ross William Bryniarski, 27, Little Falls, was charged Sept. 29 with one felony count of escaping from custody by failing to return after a temporary leave.
According to the criminal complaint, Bryniarski is on felony probation for a domestic assault conviction in February. On July 7, Bryniarski was granted a furlough to a treatment facility, with the warning that if he left the facility for any reason, he was to return to jail or be charged with escape. Bryniarski and his attorney indicated they understood the conditions.
Bryniarski allegedly left treatment on July 28 and did not turn himself into custody until Aug. 6.
If convicted, Bryniarski faces up to five year imprisonment and/or $10,000 in fines.
